West Windsor, NJ - No. 7 Wagner concluded its season with a 4-0 loss to No. 6 Monmouth in the consolation round of the Northeast Conference (NEC) Tennis Championships at the Mercer County Tennis Center. With the loss, The Green & White end the 2007-2008 season with a 4-13 record and finished a seventh place tie in the NEC.

Kaitlin Gallagher defeated senior Marie Crane (Cheshire, CT / Cheshire) 6-0, 6-3 at No. 2 singles. Kristin Hoffman set down freshman Sarah Sproviero 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 singles. Diane Washer was victorious over sophomore Valerie LeCureux (Jamison, PA / Central Bucks East) at five singles, 6-2, 6-0.

Junior Brittany Frazza (West Caldwell, NJ / Morris Catholic) was well on her way to victory, leading Sarah Ragan 6-1, 1-1 at first singles when Monmouth clinched the match thus halting play. Freshman Joanna Ciavarella was also winning 6-4, 3-2 at No. 6 singles while junior Emily Boyd (Stratham, NH / Exeter Area) was losing.

The Hawks won two doubles matches to clinch the doubles point.

Crane is the lone Wagner senior, as the Seahawks will return six letterwinners led by Frazza, who won a team-best six matches on the year.
