Easton, PA - The Wagner women's tennis team concluded its regular season with a 7-0 loss to Lafayette.

The Seahawks are now 3-11 while the Leopards improve to 7-9.

Junior Brittany Frazza (West Caldwell, NJ / Morris Catholic) lost a heartbreaker 7-5 in the first set before falling 6-1 in the second set to Ansely Scudder at No. 1 singles. At second singles, senior Marie Crane (Cheshire, CT / Cheshire) was shut out 6-0, 6-0 by Sarah Sykes. Junior Emily Boyd (Stratham, NH / Exeter Area) was defeated 6-4, 6-1 by Jacqui Bonder at No. 3 singles. In fourth flite action, freshman Sarah Sproviero was felled 6-1, 6-1 by Rachel Rohinsky. Sophomore Valerie LeCureux (Jamison, PA / Central Bucks East) fared no better at No. 5 singles, losing 6-1, 6-0 to Kristie Cavanagh. Freshman Joanna Ciavarella wrapped up singles play at No. 6, faltering 6-0, 6-2 to Emily DeLuca.

Lafayette captured the doubles point, winning all three matches.

The Seahawks will be the No. 7 seed and play against St. Francis (NY) at 9:00 am on Friday, April 18 in West Windsor, NJ.
