Staten Island, NY - Wagner was handed a 7-0 loss by Delaware State in non-conference tennis action. With the win the Hornets move to 4-3 while the Green & White fall to 1-8.

Junior Brittany Frazza (West Caldwell, NJ / Morris Catholic) and senior Marie Crane (Cheshire, CT / Cheshire) were felled in No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively. Junior Emily Boyd (Stratham, NH / Exeter Area) lost 6-0, 6-0 to Polina Razborova at No. 3 singles. At fourth singles, sophomore Valerie LeCureux (Jamison, PA / Central Bucks East) also lost 6-0, 6-0 to Cassandra Newton. Freshman Joanna Ciavarella fell 6-0, 6-0 to Hannah Adewumi at No.5. Rounding out singles play, Vanessa Fagundes was defeated 6-0, 6-0 by Julieta Yung.

Delaware State captured the doubles' point by winning all three matches.

Wagner returns to action on Tuesday, April 1 when it hosts St. Francis (NY).
