Wagner Places 45 Student-Athletes on NEC Fall Academic Honor Roll

Somerset, NJ - The Northeast Conference announced its Fall Academic Honor Roll, for the 2007-2008 academic year with Wagner College making up 45 of the 563 student-athletes on the list. All members of the honor roll must have maintained a minimum cumulative grade-point-average of 3.20 and participated with distinction as a member of a varsity team. The Seahawks were represented by all five NEC spring sports, including soccer (15), football (10), men's cross country (7), volleyball (7) and women's cross country (6).

Staten Island, NY - The Wagner Women's soccer team won the NSCAA Academic Team Award, as announced by the NSCAA. College team academic award winners needed a 3.0 team Grade Point Average (GPA) or higher to qualify for the award. With a collective GPA of 3.33, the team achieved well above the award criteria.

NEC play means being sharp and utilizing all those games in the early part of the season to be there at the end when a title is on the line.
