Buffalo, NY - The Wagner College wrestling team competed at the 2008 New York State Intercollegiate Championships yesterday and Friday, placing 13th (21.5 team points) out of 18 teams. Below listed are the individual results from the tournament that was held at the University of Buffalo.

The Seahawks were once again lead by upper-class veterans senior Mike Tutunjian (Ridge, NY/Longwood) - who placed sixth at 141 - and junior Sean Quinn (Beach Haven, NJ/Southern Regional) who placed eighth at 157.

Other highlights included freshman Nick Boghos (Wakefield, MA/Belmont Hill) wrestling for the first time since November 17 and garnering his second collegiate victory (his first was at East Stroudsburg) against Brandon Huckle of Oswego at the 133 lb. weight class.

Army won team event with 152 total points.

The Seahawks now look forward to next Friday when they travel to Clarion, Pa. to wrestle in dual matches between the host, Clarion College, and Duquesne University of Pittsburgh, Pa.
