Easton, PA - Wagner concluded its regular season with a 7-0 loss at Lafayette. The Green & White are now 1-14 while the Leopards improve to 12-6. At No. 1, senior Adam Amster (Concord, MA / Concord-Carlisle) lost to Eric Wiley 6-2, 6-2. At second singles, sophomore John LeBlanc (Staten Island, NY / Tottenville) was felled in straight sets 6-1, 6-1 to Brett Kraft. Classmate Ben Serbiak (Washington Crossing, PA / Holy Ghost Prep) was shut out 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 by James Murphy. At fourth singles, sophomore Byron Clohessy was also shut out 6-0, 6-0 by Kyle MacLelland. Junior Sheldon Wilson concluded singles play with a 6-0, 6-1 loss to Chris Chartier-Cotter at fifth singles. Lafayette captured sixth singles by default and won both doubles matches to claim the doubles point. The Seahawks will be the No. 9 seed and play against St. Francis (NY) at 9:00 am on Friday, April 18 in West Windsor, NJ. |
