Senior Will Shuler played his final home match at Wagner

Staten Island, NY - Wagner fell at Delaware State by a 6-0 score on Saturday before losing to Saint Francis (PA) 7-0 on Sunday.

Wagner is now 1-13 and 1-3 in the NEC.

At Delaware State, senior Adam Amster (Concord, MA / Concord-Carlisle) dropped a heartbreaker to Oleg Mironchikov 7-5, 3-6 and 10-5 at first singles. At second singles, sophomore John LeBlanc (Staten Island, NY / Tottenville) was felled 6-3, 6-1 by Alexey Chibisov. Classmate Ben Serbiak (Washington Crossing, PA / Holy Ghost Prep) lost 6-0, 6-1 to Brian Gelis at No. 3. At fourth singles, senior Will Shuler (Springfield, MA / Central Springfield) was shut out 6-0, 6-0 by Tyler Wyatt. Junior Sheldon Wilson put up a valiant fight before falling 6-3, 6-4 to Michael Siembida at the five-spot.

The Hornets claimed the doubles point by winning both matches.

The Green & White fared no better against SFPA. After losing 6-1 in the first game at first singles, Amster fought back before losing 7-6 (6-0) in the second game to Andrei Sandu. LeBlanc fell in straight sets 6-1, 6-1 to Ajay Nune. At No. 3 singles, Stephen Kowalski handed Serbiak a 6-2, 6-0 setback. At No. 4 singles, sophomore Ben Serbiak (Washington Crossing, PA / Holy Ghost Prep) lost 6-1, 6-0 to Jeff Seevers. Jordan Kowalski won by a 6-1, 6-0 score over Shuler at No. 5 singles before John Angiuoni beat Wilson 6-2, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.

The Red Flash collected the doubles point by winning all three matches.

The Green & White concludes its regular season with a match at Lafayette on Tuesday, April 15.
