Men's Golf Sits in Tenth Place After First Round of NEC Championship

Hershey, PA - The Wagner men's golf squad sits in tenth-place after the first round of the Northeast Conference Championship held at the Hershey Links. With a team score of 326 they trail ninth-place Quinnipiac University by 15 strokes.

Once again, junior Christopher Fourman (Greenville, OH/Greenville) was the low Seahawk for the round, firing off a five-over-par 77 (37/40), good enough to tie for 22nd individually.

Trailing the Ohio native for the Green & White was freshman Thomas Abramoski (Poughkeepsie, NY/Our Lady of Lourdes) in a tie for 33rd with a 79 (40/39) and fellow freshman Jeffrey Smolar (Jackson, NJ/Monsignor Donovan) who sits in a tie for 45th with an 83 (44/39).

Rounding out the Seahawks were freshmen Connor Popp (Syracuse, NY/Westhill) with an 87 (42/45) and Brian Conlan (Highland Milles, NY/John S. Burke Catholic) with a 96 (49/47).

Two more rounds remain with one tomorrow and the final on Sunday.
