E-mail Coach Ottaviano
Peter Ottaviano is now in his 10th season with the Wagner College football team, and now assists with the instruction of the offensive line. In addition to his coaching duties, the 1989 Wagner Alum serves as President of the Wagner College Touchdown Club, the official support group of Seahawks Football. One of the most multi-dementional coaches on staff, Ottaviano has also coached running backs, tight ends wide receivers, and linebackers during his tenure. Under his direction, Wagner produced All-American running back and return specialist, Rick Sarille. Sarille, who amassed an amazing 7,338 all-purpose yards during his career is the NEC's All-Time leading rusher. Ottaviano also coached All-American tight end Daryn Plummer, who caught 25 touchdown passes in two years after switching over from the defensive line. Ottaviano, who was a member of Wagner's 1987 National Championship team, earned a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Sociology. Ottaviano also earned a Master's Degree in Education from Wagner in 1996 and is currently employed by the New York City Board of Education. A native of Winthrop, Mass., Ottaviano resides in Staten Island with his wife, Lorraine, and their three children: Peter III, 12, Nicholas 11 and Christopher 9. The trio of Ottaviano boys can usually be found roaming the Seahawk sideline on gamedays. |
