E-mail Coach Collins Mark Collins is now in the sixth year of his position as the Seahawks Defensive Coordinator. A 15-year member of the coaching staff at Wagner, Collins previously served as an Associate Athletic Director and Assistant football coach from 1982-86, as well as, 1989-1994. During his tenure on Grymes Hill the football program has posted 109 wins and a .641 winning percentage. Now back in the familiar territory of Wagner, Collins holds the position of Fitness Center Coordinator inside Wagner's Spiro Sports Center, while directing the high-powered Seahawk defense. In 2005, Wagner ranked second in Division I-AA with 21 interceptions as a team. Collins also administrates the Seahawks recruitments in New York City and Long Island. Prior to his current post, he was at Head Football Coach at Saint Peter's College (Jersey City, NJ) from 1994-1999. He started his coaching career at S.U.N.Y. Albany in 1980 where he was the head baseball coach and assistant football coach. He has his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Central Connecticut St (1980), and a Master's Degree in Education from S.U.N.Y. Albany (1983). |
