2006-07 (freshman): Played in 26 games as a rookie averaging 8.5 minutes a contest primarily as a reserve point guard ... Handed out 25 assists on the year including a season best eight in a win over Union (12/15) ... Also recorded 24 steals ranking him third on the team ... Twice took away three steals in a game ... Shot 15-19 (.789) from the foul line ... Had three steals, three assists and four points in 20 minutes of action in a win over LIU (1/22) ... Also had three steals in the Seahawks win at LIU (1/30) ... In 22 minutes of play scored a season best six points to go with his eight assists vs Union ... Made four three-point field goals.
Prior to Wagner / Personal: Played basketball for Joe Agresta at Amsterdam High School ... A two sports (football) standout athlete he received numerous honors during his prep career ... Was third in the Big 10 Capital Region District with 18.5 ppg and also averaged seven rebounds, and five assists per game as a senior ... Named Player of the Year by the Amsterdam Recorder and chosen as a First Team All-Star for the Daily Gazette and the Albany Times Union ... Also a WNYT Channel 13 All-Star ... Played for the Albany City Rocks AAU team ... On the gridiron under coach Pat Liverio the Rams won three Big 10 championships and the Class A State Title in 2005 ... Was named the MVP of the state championship game ... As a senior was the selected the Amsterdam Recorder, Daily Gazette, Albany Times Union, and the Troy Record ... Honored as the New York State Class A Player of the year and is the all-time leader in passing yards and completions at Amsterdam High ... Also picked as the Defensive Player of the Year as a junior by the Daily Gazette and Troy Record ... Son to Timothy and Janet Czeski ... An athletic family his sisters Tara (Assumption College, 1999-03) and Tricia (Hamilton College, 2001-05) both played collegiate basketball as well. Deane on Czeski...
