Staten Island, NY - Wednesday's baseball game scheduled for 3 pm at Lafayette has been postponed due to field conditions. The Seahawks are scheduled to host Maine in a four-game set, starting Friday at 3 pm.

The infield at Lafayette's Class of 1978 Stadium was graded and re-sodded in the fall and the extra time without game traffic will allow the field to further cure.

Also in the first release of NCAA statistics, freshman LHP Jack Rice (Middlesex, NJ / Immaculata) checks in 10th nationally with a 0.98 ERA over 18.1 innings pitched. The reigning Akadema NEC Pitcher of the Week is 2-0 with wins over Florida International and Winthrop and has a save against Villanova.
