Leonia, NJ - The Wagner men's and women's track & field teams brought home several first place performances and both took fourth place in the Metropolitan Intercollegiate Outdoor Championships on Saturday.

For the women, Senior Jocelyn Ford (Neptune, NJ/Red Bank Catholic) broke the school record in the 400m, clocking in at 58.25. Her run bettered the record set in 1994 by Crystal Cudjoe's 58.57 run.

Senior Gwendolyn Moore (Teaneck, NJ/Teaneck) hurled her way to first in the javelin with a 37.88m distance and also took third in the hammer throw with a 44.24m toss. In the women's 3000m steeplechase, it was all sophomore Jenna Naglieri (Stony Point, NY/North Rockland) and her first place 12:03.17 time. Junior renaissance athlete Alaina Alfano (East Hanover, NJ/Hanover Park) brought home the gold in the long jump, leaping 5.61m, and silver in the 100m hurdles with a finals time of 14.88 seconds.

Senior Bryan Pagliuca (Ronkonkoma, NY/Connetquot) started things off for the men's side of the track with a first place 1.95m distance in the high jump while also taking second place in the triple jump with a 13.21m leap. Sophomore James Johnston (Middle Island, NY/Longwood) kept things going by taking first in the 3000m steeplechase, clocking in at 9:45.52.

Freshman distancer Derek Rammelkamp (Miller Place, NY/Miller Place) paced himself to a second place finish in the 5000m run, crossing the tape in 16:03.37, senior Joseph Kinard (Kingston, NY/Kingston) clocked in a 15:48 second place finish, freshman speedster Coleman Edmund (Kingston, NY/Harmony Prep MI) finished second in the 100m dash with a finals time of 10.98 and sophomore Matthew Villane (Monmouth Beach, NJ/Shore Regional) finished second in the 400m hurdles in 56.46. Rounding out the things for the men include a third place 10,000m finish by junior Allen Koehler (Okeana, OH/William Henry Harrison) finishing in 34:05.15 and junior Daniel Mercorelli's (North Haledon, NJ/De Paul Catholic) third place finish 6.49m finish in the long jump.

Freshman Mishelle McNamara (West Covina, CA/West Covina) vaulted herself 3.50m in the pole vault to take second, junior Brecken Drager (Loomis, CA/ Del Oro) took second in the 1500 with senior Samantha Snukis (St. Clair, PA/Nativity BVM) following right behind in third in 4:44.04. Senior Meaghan Robbins (Waymart, PA/Western Wayne) brought home the bronze in the 10,000m clocking in at 40:36.82 as the women's 4x100 and 4x400 taking third with times of 49.19 and 3:59.31 respectively. Sophomore Amanda Gland (Woodbury, CT/Nonnewaug) took fourth in the triple jump with a 10.69 leap.

The Seahawks will head next to the City of Brotherly Love where they will take aim at the nation's top athletes at the Penn Relays at the University of Pennsylvania starting April 24.
