Janelle Francisco is in her third year with the Sports Medicine department. This is her first year as the Associate Athletic Trainer. She is the primary athletic trainer for women's basketball and assists with the Wagner football team. Francisco is also an Approved Clinical Instructor for Long Island University student athletic trainers.

Francisco earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from the University of Connecticut in 2002 and a Masters of Science degree in Physical Education from Central Connecticut State University in 2005.

During her time at the University of Connecticut she worked with football, men's basketball and women's lacrosse. She also did an internship at Manchester High School in Manchester, CT during her last semester at UConn. In November, 2002 she became a Certified Athletic Trainer.

While at Central Connecticut she also served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the women's basketball team. Prior to her two year stint at CCSU she was an Intern Athletic Trainer at Villanova University working primarily with Women's Volleyball and Softball during the 2002-2003 season.

A native of West Hartford, Connecticut Francisco resides in Staten Island, NY.
